Yes. Bel met Mr. Priest when he was a child still under the care of the abusive priest. That’s literally fully displayed in the chapters leading to this one, so how you missed it is a mystery. If you pay attention to arcs preceding this one you can also notice snails in the background every now and again which is how Belphegor interacts with the outside world.

Huh. I thought that was him watching the boy's past, and interact with his sub conscious, not flashback of how they met in the past. I guess I understood it incorrectly.

Bel met him while he was young and being abused. He has being meeting and playing with him in his dreams from then up till now. They've been best friends this whole time, but the boy doesn't remember when he is awake.
