ah yess the garbage stupid and RETARDED idea of sin for BEING GAY!!!!!

it never made sense, becuse fucking straight people won’t make the gay person feel anything but disgust, YET they still think you will burn in hell and have no way to haven!

in their own ficking bible, god in their own garbage idea of benevolent being, literally makes people gay so they can never be in a hetero relationship, so you can forever be alone and forever sin the moment you feel attraction to opposite sex

P.S: ex cristian loosing her mind over being told i will burn in hell for being gay!!!

thats not really what Christianity believes. even here despite the children lobbying insults at dante the truly good Father defends him just the same as he would any child. christianity believes that a gay person can be saved as long as they renounce their affection and seek a pious life. as with many things in christianity, following through is a matter of personal willpower and faith. the issue is the slippery slope as it is seen in the tale of Sodom.
a people that has no limits on relationships will eventually devolve into what the Sodomites became before they were smited. and it is also exemplified in the differences between Dante and Vergil. where Dante decided to take a vow of celibacy and be a priest, Vergil fed into the desire to pay for things (also showing that gay priests cavorting with children is certainly also a thing in this world) overall Dante is a very interesting depiction of a gay person within the church, something that with his character had only been hinted at until now. im glad this series takes the time to flesh out the shortcomings of the church as well as what makes it one of the founding institutions of today.

You are not wrong in that there are some Christian organizations that believe gay people can exist if they agree to deny themselves and live a life without love, which I don't believe is healthy or beneficial. My issue with your argument is that no one "owns" Christianity and thus cannot speak for what it "believes". I am not going to look for statistics, but my anecdotal experience dealing with Christian are closer to @LilithRaven reports, although I also hear people say they should "control their urges", which by itself is an act of violence against one's nature.

Now, I am not a theologist, and I am not going to spend much more time on this. I just want to share something I read in a book entitled "Can Robots be Jewish", which presents Rabbis of different schools of thought with hard questions. I like the humanist school (and other progressive ones) that understand that "God" provided guidance appropriate to people on their time. Something like:

"And God said: you haven't invented hygiene yet, and that will take two or more millennia before it becomes common practice. So until you discover ways to not get infected by doing butt stuff, please refrain from doing butt stuff".

But, of course, you will find it written as:

"Verily, I say unto you, ye lack the knowledge and the means to practice cleanliness as it should be. Therefore, I give unto thee a simple command: thou shalt abstain from any unclean practice, and thou shalt not defile thyselves in such manner. Let it be clear and let no doubt remain: no butt stuff."

I got off in a tangent there, sorry. In that book, anyway, there are Rabbis that respond about "being gay": "why is that even an issue", or "this is a Roman-created problem, so it's Christian stuff, not ours", or "lesbians are fine, we have issue with gay men only", or "you can be gay, just don't be gay". No ultra-orthodox Rabbi replied, though. So, yeah, anything that floats your boat.
