No, you're not getting it. This manga does not have and will never get any sort of ending. As you personally pointed out several times now, the story actually does continue in the web novel and from the last chapter of the manga, that's painfully obvious too that it's not an ending.
You call it complete because of the connection to the light novel stuff, but that reasoning is bs because the web novel is still a thing that exists, so the manga, not the light novel, but the manga, ends here because someone wants it to for some shitty reason that doesn't really matter anymore because it's simply too late now.
This manga is a fundamentally unfinished product and it doesn't matter whether or not it was designed like this from the start because it won't change now.
According to your own arguments, you should know even better than me than the story is incomplete because it continues in the web novel. You of all people shouldn't call it completed then for that reason.
The manga is done, but it is not actually complete in any way. There's no conclusion whatsoever. It just ends at the end of that arc, just "like" an axed story.
They didn't even try to make something up and improvise an ending on their own. It just stopped right in the middle. That's not a trait an actually completed manga would have and the existence of the web novel that goes further literally proves it.
