So basically he changed to the contract to let her chose to do stuff on her? As well the ability to deny him once? I am kind of confused on what he actually changed?

It seems the same still

Just going to point out that the master servant contact, and the Subservient contact were effectively the same, so long as the Master refuses to annul the contract. The only difference between the 2 is the effective ability cap of the Acolyte, and the subservient contract allows the master to one sidedly cancel the contract.
Perhaps there were more nuance clauses internally, but the demerits were the same for the acolyte.

So we're gonna ignore the fact that they gave her all their fortune so that she'd form a contract with their son, then lost their lives and their son still doesn't get the contract despite everything being paid up front? And now not only the son is going to live in poverty, his parents are also dead and despite all that has no contract?

Man, this family got screwed over tremendously. I hope she at least return their entire fortune instead of just trinkets.
Yeah this whole thing confuses the fuck out of me, I don't get why she was forced to basically just watch bandits kill the couple or what happened to the son or the money or anything.

Is the whole situation that the son wasn't there at the temple so she hadn't formed any contrat, thus she couldn't use any power to defend anybody, and they got attacked on the way to go to the son for the contract? Because if yes that's retarded, there's zero good reason why they couldn't have brought the son to the temple to get the contract formed, unless the boy's literally physically bound to a single location or something.

Indeed. I was wondering about the same thing while reading the chapter. However, this is a work by a two-bit author, so I imagine the author never even realised how strange and dubious this looks like. Consequently the author doesn't realise that the MC and Sistina basically become criminals themselves by doing this, at least in spirit if not by law (since we don't know the local laws). This is quite hilarious considering the MC doesn't consider criminals humans, just things, that can be thus terminated with no compunctions.

But maybe I'm wrong and the MC miraculously saves the orphan from a super convenient danger. Thus the son will be left worshipping the ground the MC walked on, instead of being the biggest (surviving) victim in all of this.
