I'd understand if they got their memories back, but I don't get how the statues in Japan changed, and how their clothes suddenly reverted. And whether they have the ability to transfer back to isekai. Maybe they are not in Japan, but stuck in an illusion.

Seemed like a fake mini-world created by that shitty god to trap them into and get rid of them. MC just so happened to figure it out thanks to the statues being the MC's demi-human animal companions and the Tori gates and the rest followed suit.
