Pretty sure "It's this 'the same as usual' that I find myself being the happiest." is code for "this manga will drag this situation out for the entire length of its serialization and only give a confession in the last 2 chapters cuz the author can't or simply won't write about an ongoing relationship that lacks the 'will they, won't they' trope they can always fall back on to add tension, tho we all know it doesn't really."
