Strange because the light novel only has one volume published, in 2021. The webnovel(https://ncode.syosetu.com/n7171ey/) has a lot more material though(it doesn't have chapter numbers, but there's a lot of them, and seeing latest chapter is from last Thursday it's safe to say it's still ongoing...).

I don't think that it is getting easy because even though he found a new place to live with a lot of information. He is still supposed to be really weak and unable to progress or level up, which is why he has been having to create traps or dismantle beasts/monsters that he finds already dead.

I was wondering if this is following simple game mechanics. What I mean by that is when he builds or sets a trap (poison meat, digging a pit-hole trap, or luring a monster to the sleeping flower field) and something dies from the trap is he gaining experience and becoming stronger.

It might not have been axed by the editor if the author continued to be on survival mode, no magic, no spells, pure intuition. Isekaing into another world retaining no-magic concept would have been very entertaining.

Maybe because he had a harem plus the magic that made this manga very inferior to its more bland counterparts.
