What? A protagonist who doesn't throw away his brain at the first sight of someone with two X chromosomes?
I mean, she will still most probably remain and become a part of the cast, but it's praiseworthy anyway.
Hmmm not really. Literally did that with the demon girl. Granted she provided value to him after helping her but before nah. His action towards this new girl is pretty stupid.

"Latest updates will only be available on our site."

Does that mean you're not going to post any on MangaDex anymore? If so, that's kind of disappointing. I really like your translations. Please don't be yet another group that holds chapters hostage.

Any metallurgists want to weigh in on (and waving away any statement of "it's magic") the likelihood of that chain actually being far too hot from sun exposure to be touched?

The MC of the other manga this artist illustrates would let her pay differently if you know what I mean 🍆

Not a metallurgist but it could be that the chain is "always" in the shade of the island. Maybe the fantasy metal just has an absurdly low conductivity.

I am more interested in the use of the chain as a bridge. The chain is, assumably, not a rigid structure supporting the island aloft, but an anchor preventing it from drifting away. This means the chain is made taught by the pull of the island, but shifting winds should cause occasional slack, swaying, and sudden jolts. This would make climbing the chain much more difficult than climbing a mountain slope (like the mc makes it look).

Not a metallurgist either, but it's really hard to say.
We lack too much info, like how hot is it actually ? Notice that they aren't quite shown as sweating buckets despite fighting there ?
It gets really cold at night in deserts, so even if it's a really hot desert, if they are here during mornings, the chain should be at best temperate.
And as CA said just above, it depends on what the chain is even made from.
