This reminds me of a one time a friend in like primary school was playing with a girl's sitting in front of him hair, making mini braids and shit. Teacher semi seriously asked him if he could maybe pay as much attention to the lesson as to the girl's hair, both the dude and the girl gone tomatoes. While the whole class including me gone "awww" like you are watching your best fluffy manga romance couple actually do some progress (like the cat-like girl or go-home club girl mangas) in actual real life.
Kinda sad that from what I recall nothing came of their relationship. Dude was kinda shy, girl was ashamed of her kinda old in age bit poor family or something - and so each time dude tried confessing/asking her out - she brushed it off/gave excuses. Dude got fed up, cause his love for her started dwindling with each another "micro-rejection", decided that he wont be a SIMP/recharger for her ego or what ever, and stopped trying.
They gone to different middle schools cause of various circumstances, then met again in HS, but their life goal/priorities, hobbies, interest, etc. all kinda gone side ways - like he said there was nothing he could think about that they could talk about cause like they borderline hated or gave no fucks about what the other loved. So even thou from what I gathered girl kinda was ready to accept the advances - dude wasn't interesting in providing them any more.
Funnily enough she found a dude extremely similar in looks to the dude in college and kinda married/got children fast - dude 2.0 liked the same things as her from what I was told - so that could explain a bit XD. Lost the contact with the main dude so no clue what happened on his side of the coin.
