To call it sniping is an especially dumb take tbh. General rule of thumb I've seen tossed around is that if it has been 3 or more months since the last upload it isn't sniping. Last Galaxy Degen upload, 4 months ago. Then 2 months before that, then a whole year. If they wanted to they could have done this chapter looong ago, raws look to be up to chapter 57 by now. We're still on stuff from 2022 (If I'm understanding things correctly).

Is it good quality? Maybe not. But if it spurs other TL groups into wanting to pick this up then it's more than welcome.

I'm able to follow this because I've read the LN, but for manga-only readers, I think they'd struggle a lot to figure it out.

If you do want to read it, here's an overview of what happens so that the dialogue will make more sense.

Yume is studying super hard to take first place in her class (or year). She thinks that her grades is a large part of her high school glow up, and if she loses them, she'll lose her friends and her position in the class.

Mizuto deliberately doesn't answer some of the questions on his Japanese test, to get a lower score, so that he won't beat Yume. Yume gets mad at him for patronising her, effectively. They both get mad at each other, then Mizuto stays up late (or all night) studying.

Well, that was terrible. I could say it was better than nothing, but that would be a lie.

I don't agree with the people saying this was sniped though. The former group only released 3 chapters last year, and it was a literal year between the first chapter released in 2024 and the only chapter in 2023. Four chapters in 2 years. Someone else needs to pick this up.

Yea this wasn't a snipe, but a translation by a spanish/mexican guy (which is why it wasn't machine translated). You can see it by the use of inverted exclamation marks.
As this isn't a snipe it would'Ve been really nice if the translator would've taken the time to truly read what he wrote.
