On a bright side when done good/correct it's called innovation.

Not that I don't agree about trends, but has there been a recent glut of manga about edible powerups? I can think of 4 or 5 of them, but they are a few years old by now.Its called 'Trend Chasing'. Did they have tags 'Adapted'? Big portion of the mangas comes from novels, may guess they just reach levels when they eligible to be adapted. It did takes some time for this, different depending on title.
And no one looking on the manga market and thinking - "did we oversaturated it?"
Just throw everything at wall and milk into oblivion the ones that stick.
