You could also say it's a bit disappointing that his skill has basically been forced to be one used for offense. Instead of a situation where perhaps he's given an opportunity to talk to the dragon; nope, the only thing to do is you gotta punch it.

Yeah I was hoping for that twist. Seems most of the "I have an overpowered support skill" just end up making the mc strong himself and the people hes supposed to be supporting get put into the sidelines... whats the point of it then!

so many series with a "lowest ranking, worthless" MC have them continue being mopey and self doubting for far too long, that it gets annoying fast. refreshing to see companions already combating that mindset in the second chapter
