If I remember correctly, Tanabe-sensei and Tsukimoto-sensei both teaching at the same school, which is Nishikata old school. Now considering Nishikata return to his old junior high school to teach as a P.E teacher, doesn't that mean he and Sanae's sister both work in the same place?

I thought of that, but can't recall at which school Nishikata was teaching. I've seen a comment on the reddit thread saying that on Moto he's a junior high/middle school teacher too, if this school is exclusively a highschool then it can't be the same.

Have to admit, Yamamoto got me with the tear in the eye scene, should've seen it coming but the punchline got me almost completely by surprise.

I wonder if we'll ever get a cameo of Nishikata, maybe with him coaching the team of his school in a friendly match or tournament.

Now that you said it, we didn't really have a clear sign of how much time has passed since the original series, when I saw Tsukimoto/Tanabe-sensei on ch. 7 I thought she was Sanae and that made me think it was on the same time as the Moto series, but that can very well not be the case.

Well based on the comments I also did a little research, and the people are right, Tanabe Sensei is Sanae's older sister who married Nishikata's old PE teacher.
