Are you seriously trying to start counting appearances when we haven't even released the first volume yet? I'm not against jokes, but I already have the feeling that people are really trying to see something in this. Although even in this chapter itself there is a scene where a smooth girl talks about shady GUY when she jokes about Ichinose’s pliability.

Idk bud, It might still be too soon to be sure but the format for this manga seems to focus on those three girls so I wouldn't count on the childhood friend making a relevant plotline, neither do I think this manga aims for it's romance elements to get a strong focus, just a silly funny sol. And like, what gives if people start seriously shipping Ichinose and Nagisa? shipping can get really annoying but you are reacting to something that hasn't happened.
Maybe it's because I joked about Yamamoto shipping them? I say that cause he seems to enjoy writing interactions between those two, I don't really think he has any plans for making them develop a romantic relationship neither do I expect him to and I don't think anyone does yet.

First of all, just because they're a trio of female protagonists doesn't mean it's going to be a yuri focused on them with minimal involvement from other characters. This is "Deku hangs out with guys more so MHA must be BL" level logic lmao. Secondly, again, the problem is not in the shipping itself. It's just that I hear references to it so often that it's starting to resemble a series of infamous ships that started out as a joke but ended up as a very intrusive OTP. The manga will focus on their interactions anyway, because again, they are the three protagonists of the story.
