[Manga] How does the number of follows are counted ?

I am wondering if a title marked as dropped add a follow to the title because I saved it as dropped ?

I hope it is just the amount of Libraries's Reading/Completed/Re-Reading Lists.

They now separate follow function into reading status and feed (alert)
You can mark it as Dropped and it will go into your library but if you want to get the update as well you should click bell icon

Yes, but I am talking about how MD is counting the number of follows for titles.

Are my marked dropped titles included in the count of these titles follows ?
I don't want to give a free follow for dropped titles.

Short answer is yes

I didn't know for sure beforehand so I do a little test in new added title. I follow and mark it as drop give it rating so I know when my rates is updated then follow count also updated. The result is follow count increase.

I don't want to give a free follow for dropped titles.

My suggestion is create MD List to save your dropped tittle like what I do 😎
