They won't. It's also going to be more awkward once all the content is removed (as was already done on mangadex) due to the whole dmca issues. It's the reason those scanlators stopped posting. It's also why mangadex now links jump stuff to mangaplus now

Expect users to be banned, probably for attempting to undermine mangadex knowing that.

@NativeAvocado We don't remove anything to DMCA requests. We link to MangaPlus because we want to make people aware that Shonen Jump content is available for free. Groups not wanting to scanlate shonen jump stuff is just them not seeing any point in competing with same-day official English release as the Japanese version.

@voliol Inactive means they haven't released a chapter in 6 months. We already had chapters for most of these series, MangaStream just caused gaps.

@sdarkpaladin basically, I'm saying this for you and everyone here :
Mangastream has NOT chosen to upload their chapters here.
They had them removed from MangaDex at some point.

However, they are now inactive and MangaDex' policy is that if a group has become inactive for more than 6 months (the group itself, not their activity on MD), everyone and anyone is free to upload their chapters here.

Here's an extract of MD rules :

A group that is locked, has missing chapters, and has had no new releases on MangaDex or any websites affiliated with that group for a period of 6 months is eligible by the request of any user to become marked as inactive.

Upon receiving an inactivation request, MangaDex staff will attempt to contact and notify the group.
It is possible for the notified group to request becoming exempt from being marked as inactive [for a period of up to 2 months].
If the group is not exempted, it will be marked as inactive after 2 weeks from the initial notification.
If a group is not exempted, they may still request for the chapters of a certain series to be removed (such as if an existing official licensed version exists).
An inactive group will have all of its upload restrictions lifted and its leader and members will no longer have automatic editing and deleting permissions to the chapters associated with the group.
Should the group resume releasing new content, it will no longer be considered inactive and the normal permissions will be restored.

Now, whether this is policy you like or dislike as a group varies a lot and even caused some groups to chose to leave MangaDex.
Personally, I'm entirely fine with this, for me MD is the closest thing to my ideal host. But some groups, with solid reasons (whether they are valid or not is mostly subjective tho) may disagree with this.

Finally! It is sad but MangaStream is dead. Yet their works shall live through Mangadex. I've been reading their works since they just stated, back when OneManga was closing down. This stuff right here is why we need fans to preserve media that would otherwise be lost in time. Be grateful.

Man, fuck Mangastream. I used to give my support to them because if the good work they were doing. But after that time where they called their fans "salty bitches" for being upset about the group not translating Eden Zero, I was done with them. They could've handled the situation a lot better. Thank God I found other sites beside Mangastream.

@kyoya66 It wasn't that they stopped translating Eden Zero, it was how they handled it and made fun of their supporters who was upset about it. Jaiminis box stopped translating after a while. But I've been following a group who translates it every week.
