Clearly it's easy to step up ecchi, but it's basically impossible to step it down. The tone's been set for the entire series, and we're all stuck with this idea that she'll do something at least as bad at some point. Meanwhile it's stepped down the lewdness to basically 0 and reverted to wholesome romance.

I'd much rather it stays this way. The series clearly wasn't going to be able to pay off that kind of tease for too long, since it went way too hard and was almost better off being porn.
