Very cute but I feel like things will get kind of heavy once his mortality (decay-ness) comes into question. Looking forward to more in the future.

i feel like if she doesn't bind his soul to him or whatever , i'd think most longer lived species would try to find a way to extend their partners lifespan. or imagine some anthology/story where it's like "the matriarch of our family is still alive/immortal" and they still stay around to take care of their great-great-great-etc grandchildren
