prev chapter's end: "the conspirator is the dullahan!"
this chapter starts: already talking with maou, with dullahan saying they're lying
really feels like they skipped a couple pages
Those firearms are not from the 19th century. At least they weren't supposed to be drawn as such. If you read the novel then you would find that they are actually from right around Nobunaga's time period.
Who was the first human reincarnated? Oda Nobunaga.
What is one of the things Nobunaga most known for? Being the first major strategist to incorporate the musket into his strategy and thereby eliminating the Takeda in one battle: the Battle of Nagashino.
This is actually some clever writing, especially if they have MC incorporate Nobunaga's tactic of having one musket fire, the next reload, and the third round the barrel and take aim so that continuous fire can be achieved.
I don't like it because you're absolutely right in that the author is probably gonna do exactly that. It's probably going to be the Fantasy version of Guns with the accuracy, portability and armor penetration of the American civil War Rifle Musket, no matter what type of design they draw.
@Tamerlane IIRC it's not confirmed yet as much as that it is HEAVILY IMPLIED. i read back older chapters just in case and it is indeed just heavy implication from the MC.
well with that being said @Le_Flemard looks like i was spot on with guessing it as matchlocks; sengoku-era guns are all matchlocks. flintlocks haven't been invented at the time, and won't be around japan until much later.
The premise of the manga just died, because mc didn't. The whole idea was that his adoptive father had explained that he would be killed the instant the demon lord found out he were human (not just when it became publicly known), but now she found out.
