How bad is the official translation? I'm gonna start reading this after finishing the anime and I thought it was strange that the subs I used had translated her name to Somnia, and when she went "suya" while sleeping, the subs varied from "zzz" to "what bliss"...

Her name means literally "sleeping", so each translator went full restarted deciding to be "creative" and translated literally a name in their language.
Most Japanese names have meanings, majority of "old" Western names also (mine is "happy", oh boy, what a miss...), so literal translation is dumb af.

But hey, could be worse, like with Bussy... * ehem *

Her name is Syalis, short for Aurora Sya Lis Goodereste.
