Wow... been a long time since I felt that genuinely disgusted by a scene. Like of all the twisted crap, was that really neccessary? It is just shock value. The Hero was clearly a prick already, there really wasnt a need to do that.

I loathe this kind of stuff normally but it can be used well if the writer has a good grasp of the gravity of it and folds it into the story with careful intent. This was just heinous and pointless.

Dropping the series I guess, or at least taking a break from it. But if they do this now, I will warn you all the author WILL do it again with one of the main girls. Because once a story crosses that line, the stakes have escalated to the point where tha author has no choice but to resort back to it for the story to have continued credibility.

Not only is this lazy shock-value writing, it's also almost certainly a plot hole. If this is actually a flashback to where the Demon King died, that means he told his daughters to never forgive the hero... while dead. And the gate of souls or whatever hadn't been opened yet.
