If you look at the Spin-off then Chastile and Barbatos are a pairing, rather then her with Zagan, since it's also not a Harem.

the funny thing is, this story is basically about a growing extended family with Zagan and Nephy at the center. Almost everyone IS OR WILL BE part of the family. Seriously, the relationship map for this series is huge. Hell, in volume 18 of the LN, Chastile almost became Zagan's step-descendant. Nephy, of course, wasn't having it and said there will be NO 2nd wives or concubines.

About Kuroka: is she Raphael real daughter? There was a side story about her but I didn't get the conclusion
(apart from Raphael banging Kuroka's mother).

It isn't explicitly stated but there are hints of it. It may or may not be given that story. You also have to keep in mind that most of the characters consider it taboo to explicitly state open secrets. Like how everyone knew Alshiera was Zagan's mom but never said it until an idiot figured it out and blurted it out into the open.

You're forgetting some important things here.

- Chastille and Barbatos are the deuteragonists of the story. They're, and will become, VERY relevant characters. And I'll tell you more: without Chastille and Barbatos, there would not be Nephy or Zagan because, among other reasons, Chastille is the reason why Zagan can live a peaceful life with his family. And who is the one who protects Chastille? Barbatos.

- Zagan cares about Chastille, a lot. He says things like "I only care about Nephy and Foll", but he's a really caring person and yes, it's true that Zagan only has eyes for Nephy, and sometimes he acts very selfishly, but Chastille is an ally that he has in high value. Just wait and see how the story unfolds. Both Barbatos and Zagan grew up half of their lives alone and they have their reasons to be the way they were back in volume 1, and they don't know how to show their caring and love to others. Yes, Zagan is learning, yes, is very vocal about his love for Nephy and Foll, but he still thinks he's a bad person (and I insist, he's a kind and caring person).

- Part of this arc is about Chastille and Nephteros, so of course Nephy and Zagan will appear less. You have to let other characters to have their time to develop their arcs. One of the reasons why this story (the light novel) is so good is thanks to the side characters and thanks to, once again, Barbatos and Chastille. This is just my personal view, but my favorite moments about Zagan and Nephy are when they interact with other characters, not between them. Yes, they're cute, but they show more of their growth as a characters when they interact with others.

So please, just have a little more patience. This past chapters are very important to develop Barbatos, Chastille and Nephteros as characters, the relationship between them and to set up future arcs. I promise the next chapters until volume 5 is fully adapted will be really good.

I swear, i don't get why people are reading so much into it, when all I say is i want to see more of Nephy and Zagan, Fol family bonding, it literally wasn't that deep. 😮‍💨

"Some more of them again". That's the problem, you are treating some characters as less important as what you consider the "better" one but imo, the author has been really good at expanding the cast and giving the screentime they deserve. Instead of having side characters, they are one big family and each of them has their own goal, and personality.

If you look at the Spin-off then Chastile and Barbatos are a pairing, rather then her with Zagan, since it's also not a Harem.

That doesn't make them any less part of the family. Chastille is still Nephy's best friend and the one who saved her on many occasion, they are also emotionally supporting each other a lot.
Barbatos is a chaotic friend, but Zagan and Barbatos' bromance is one of the best relationship in the series and being childhood friends is even a plus.

If you miss Zagan/Nephy/Foll moments, that's on you. But for me, Zagan and Nephy interacting with other part of the family is what makes this series so endearing.

Anyway, if you really miss those moments, this arc will soon be over and they will go back to some lighthearted moments again (introducing volume 6 of the LN)
