@Scrwd The system is pretty detailed and precise, and it's cool (speaking from LN's perspective). It's a shame that in every fight the author just throws it out of the window and does kind of whatever it's convenient for the result he needs. But the system of magic is very cool. Also, there is a depth and relevance to every event, which is so rare to see in a LN (everything that happens or happened in a flashback has an influence on something that will happen) and makes for such a pleasant read, even when timelines sometimes just don't make sense.

RIP Zagan's ponytail, dropped. Just kidding of course, but I prefered his ponytail than this new haircut.

Chastel should learn from Daddy's example - he's a (former) Holy Knight but knows how to work the situation.

Wasn't "baptized armour" called "annoited" in the previous chapters?
It's a better translation, too - you can't baptize an object, and I'm not sure they have baptism in the setting to begin with.

@danvolodar

It's anointed.

As for being a better translation, it isn't. The terms themselves are essentially equivalent except one is done with water while the other with oil. There's no reason you cannot baptize an object when it's just sprinkling water on it. Similarly, anointment is mostly done on people.

A better translation might simply be to use the more generic term: blessed.
