Yukikaze did in fact use the "X emoji" phrases in the LN as well - volume 7, chapter "The Demon Lord's World Tour" (This is what the current chapter is adapting). This scene is verbatim lifted from the LN.Ah... I know the original novel is filled with these references to real life stuff, like the Paladin called Weeb and stuff like that. But it's taken in a straight faced value and solely impacts names. Such as names of characters or names of locations or names of objects.
Not once in the novel do they make use of modern day slang that is entirely dependent on technology, such as "Crying Face Emoji".
I have no clue if the manga made alterations to this or if you're taking personal creative liberties. But if it's the latter. I'd rather you don't do that.
Then again, considering how you watermark your website right in the middle of pages like that, I don't know how much your group would listen to criticism like this to begin with.

I'm curious. I'll have to check and re-read it.Yukikaze did in fact use the "X emoji" phrases in the LN as well - volume 7, chapter "The Demon Lord's World Tour" (This is what the current chapter is adapting). This scene is verbatim lifted from the LN.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be a further hint to the artificial nature of the world they're in.
