I'll probably drop this because of it.
It's not because I think that everyone has to have sex, it has to do with the overwhelmingly exhausted trope of being interrupted. It has to do with the average run-of-the-mill MC acting legitimately terrified at the thought of having sex.
Sexual desire is a natural part of being human. We want to attract and be attracted. We want to desire and be desired. Love and be loved. Part of an adult relationship is physical intimacy.
Being terrified of sex isn't comedy.
