Yeah the humour of this first chapters is good but the dialogue on war left a very bad taste of propaganda in my mouth. There are good novels like The Forever War which expose arguments in favour of war as a total sham. In effect, war ultimately ruins the lives of soldiers involved by being away from their homes over extended periods while their society changes. For the countries on the front lines the war devastates their land and population, to a greater degree than any materiel from allied countries can compensate.
