I’m sorry, but what was even the point of that backstory. It literally only told me that she was just as shitty as I thought. She left her own country in a state of near ruin because she wanted to be a thot and or slut with a harem?! The hell. You don’t justify cheating and using other people like tools because you... wait we still don’t have a reason other than “I’m salty mommy and daddy wouldn’t let me be a slut”. I’m fine with polygamy and the idea of a harem if everyone involved consents and wants/is okay with that. Using something akin to mind control and brainwashing or just playing with people’s feelings is and will never be okay. Also I thought the princess routine would be an opener to a somewhat more justified origin story. Like we find out that her country was taken over her fiancée destroying her faith in men (still wrong whenever someone judges an entire group based on the actions of one but better than “Grr, I wanted to be a slut, but my nice parents who raised me didn’t want me to and wanted a responsible sucessor to the throne so I used men as tools and nearly ruined my country”) or maybe that the church excommunicated and then executed her parents despite them being devout followers forcing her to question their religious teachings and making her choose a life of revenge and running away (to which end she needed to use men and charm just to survive). But No. Instead we get the Princess Thot that ruined her country because she wanted to be a slut.

Not to mention I do firmly believe it is the responsibility of royalty to cast aside their own desires and do what is BEST for their country. If you ask me they can curse the stars all they want for the family they were born into and yeah I don’t envy them, but if we’re talking a mediaeval fantasy setting where countries are largely still ruled by monarchy and royal families, and your marriage is politically arranged to make the country more powerful or literally END A FREAKING WAR THAT WOULD KILL HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE then no, you cannot weasel your way out of it because you love someone else. It’s sad, but people have to be responsible and royalty hold the weight of an entire nation on their shoulders. All that said, I realize SHE NEVER EVEN MET HER ARRANGED PARTNER. And the worst thing her parents didn’t seem particularly mean to her (they probably should have been more hard on her), nor did she seem to hate them. If he was scum or a bastard, I could have felt something, but no. She literally ruined her entire nation because she wanted to be a slut. I wonder how many people starved or bleed out in the streets because of the corruption she caused. She actually deserves to be hung for her crimes, or at the very least imprisoned. I’m surprised the people didn’t start a coup and behead her family and all nobles because of her. All the backstory confirms for me is that she does NOT deserve the MC’s sympathy and should be left to rot. At the very least please tell me she returns to her home country and turns herself in after this. If not, I don’t care if someone else picks this back up; I’m just dropping this series, and not bothering with the LN. That’s going too far. That said, I didn’t know there was an LN. is it better written than this? Because this has been pretty bad so far. Also thank you for your work up to now TL. I hope college and “stuff” goes well for you.

So where's that scene in the LN where Roslia gets into an argument with Note? It's kind of important in explaining why Note is stuck in the jail cell with her. I get that the artist probably doesn't have the page count to portray Note in a bad light, but it's not like he does a good job explaining why Note is actually impressive in how he freed himself, or why they were hauled in in the first place.
