Hit me right where it hurts the most. I don't know how to hold on to that onigiri without eating it. I don't know when to stop building houses. It really is difficult

I really enjoyed the part where the teacher was talking about life experiences and worrying about how you're spending time and whether or not you advance. It doesn't matter your profession or position, everyone has these worries.

That first picture of Kiriyama hit me. I saw it and just thought, "Whoa, that's him? He looks like an adult!"
I also thought basically the same when they showed the glimpse of Rei and Hina making the rice balls together- I thought 'holy shit, they look like a legit married couple'. She feels like she's showing the maturity more in that instance, as well, and I think back to somebody complaining she 'didn't look mature enough for him' or something to that effect.

People keep talking about character growth, but it's the most striking when it's done through the art.

Like Shimada a few volumes ago. Before he used to be made fun of because he was about to become bald, then he started getting drawn with lushy hair and looked more handsome than ever to woo Akari (or at least to be a future prospect for her). :bocchiwave:

Usually, you can't draw mature characters right off the bat, or you will have a lot of trouble bettering the art later on. And doing so also makes the characters' aging feel way more natural, and it accentuates the passage of time in the plot, during important events needing it.
