I still wish Rei was with the older sister. She's so perfect.

As much as I'd personally prefer her, I have to admit that she is not, in fact, perfect. She has plenty of flaws where Hina excels, and at least one of those areas is why Rei fell for her and not Akari. Call attention to the night after she came home suffering the effects of the bullying, and Akari could do nothing but make Hina feel unsupported in her decision to stand up for what she believed in, while Rei chased after her and promised to help and stay by her side because her conviction saved him. Rei has had far more influence from Hina than Akari to get him to where he is today- that takes quite the spirit.

@miyako19 while I hate the fact that she has to work at a cabaret club, at the very least it's one where her aunt is the owner and she probably never has to do any "sexual" things.

On a side note, @faryshta chocolate and salt absolutely works well together! Salt heightens the sweetness of chocolate, I always like to mix some saltiness through chips or something with my chocolate snacks.

Like chocolate-covered pretzels! Those things are pretty popular, to be honest. Sweet and salty work pretty amazingly together.

I wouldn't call it getting lazy- I'd call it getting old. Her last omake pages did seem to talk about how she's been getting physically weaker, but she's also been trying to combat that, as well, with regimens that her late father got her on.

I'd just hope she finishes what she wants with this comic before she feels she has to stop for some reason.

Like I said, chocolate and salt is not something new or uncommon. The aforementioned chocolate-covered pretzels are mass-produced and sold in stores for a reason.

Akari looks old enough to be Rei's mother and Rei actually views her as a mother-figure.

I doubt you even remember your comment from 3 years ago, but it just caught my attention. I don't think Rei views her as a mother figure for two reasons: Firstly, he knows her too well not to see her for what she is, including her weaknesses and flaws, which he actually helped her with. Furthermore, he has also tried to arrange some matchmaking for her because he realises she could use help and should also find her own happiness as a young woman. Secondly, I don't believe Rei is looking for mother figures. He got a trauma out of losing his own mother suddenly and then a second trauma from watching how his adoptive family fell apart, including the not-stepmother. He solved that by achieving independence as soon as possible. I'm not a psychologist, but in my opinion he wouldn't be looking for a mother figure anymore after the second experience, quite the contrary, as his precious memories of his biological mother would fight with the lousy, stressful memories from the adoptive family.
