I feel like this manga might not run as long as I'd hope. They've already downed 3 of the main antagonists in the span of <40 chapters, and I can't see a storyline that can keep this manga going without it feeling like it's being dragged out but I'd be really happy to be proven wrong :aquadrink:

With “the family” being so smart you’d think they’d have someone guarding the dad instead of waiting till last moment to send someone there…
Looking back at it, the family and Okaya really ain't smart. The only thing that was keeping them safe was the fact that Okaya's mom was the head of police or some shit, that covered up the crimes, remove that and you get a bunch of low-functioning sociopaths with delusions of grandeur. A person with nothing left to lose could easily demolish them, which is what Maria essentially did. Really more surprised there hasn't been more suicidal people just saying fuck it and trying to kill one of them earlier

I fucking hate how cowardly and slimey Okaya and the rest of the Tokyo PD are. I said earlier that with Maria's identity revealed, it was now an even playing field with all parties in the know, or that at least it would be, if not for the fact that Okaya has the PD in his pocket, but man not a single thing about this is fair or even.

This fucker has his mom, who's the police chief and should have a duty to protect the citizens and to serve them, give this fucking coward full protection of the police and doing all of this planning and such... all take down a single woman. This fucker thinks he will get any satisfaction from beating her with the help of others, not to mention a whole ass PD, which is basically his cult he controls now? Does he have no pride? If he wants to face off against her, have the balls to do so on your own merit and strengths, you're a man ffs, act like it. The PD should be protecting the citizens from crime and assault and yet, here these fuckers are talking about how to destroy evidence that incriminates them and how to deal with it in case Maria releases it to the public. Just nauseating shit, I usually don't get affected by villains in series like this, but for some reason seeing the police themselves do shit like this to get away from their OWN crimes mind you (not covering up for others' crimes) is just sickening.

Bro can't even take down a woman on his own and is always smirking off to himself about how smart he is when he doesn't even have the balls to fight on his own and uses his wealth/influence, his mom who's the police chief, and the PD instead. What a despicable cunt, I'm glad the dad came to give Maria plausible deniability to defuse the bomb (since he's in law enforcement and so might have skills to defuse), now Maria doesn't have to blitzkrieg her revenge in martyrdom, and can instead go back to her slow-burn revenge style once this situation dies down.

Also Okaya's mom being smushed by the door as the dad flung open the door forcefully is hilarious. But it's nice to see her melons being squeezed between the door and the wall (yes I'm down bad for her despite her being a bitch), I only wish the jiggle and squish were a bit more pronounced artistically, since one of her info pages from earlier said that her bust was larger than it appears in her uniform/professional attire.

Also this was such a good twist with the husband showing up and communicating to Maria, "I know I wasn't always by your side, but I am reliable now that I've discovered the truth of our son's death, and you CAN lean on me, you don't have to do this alone." The way she looked at him is such couple goals 🥰

The scenario of Maria's plan was a rather depressing one, since she'd planned on stabbing herself with a poisoned pick/needle, showing that she really doesn't care for herself or her own life, and would happily die after carrying out her revenge. I'm glad the author showed us a little "what if" before steering the plot in a more interesting direction that allows for the theme of Maria's revenge to continue properly without rushed kills.
