fun little romp. love the art so far- Junto does lighting and composition exceptionally well. i love the 4koma extras, they add little bits to the characterization that I think was lacking from the main story. though, i prefer Naga's in-story character of a woman choked by grief and spite, rather than her 4koma form that is far more generic-overcaring-anime-mom.

i'm really interested in okaya and nagare's dynamic even if okaya is a twisted and sick bastard he wrote about nagare on his lantern so could that mean that okaya for some reason likes nagare(platonically or romantically, though romantically would be quite twisted and less likely) i want to find out more about what happened between okaya and nagare because from the looks of it they used to be friends maybe in elementary since kid nagare was shown saying that he wanted to go to saint spring also because okaya's going and "i will never run from you" is quite interesting

it might seem unrealistic, but it does happen in real life and there multiple reasons and cases one keeps such a child around. take the real case of Hideaki Kumazawa for example. he and his wife were physically and emotionally abused by their son for years, but they still kept him around and tried to improve things, until the father murdered the son to keep him from killing a child. in the case where they keep such a terrible kid like that around, the familial tie or guilt they feel is too strong or they may not want the shame of needing to disown their child to be spread. im sure we can find other reasons if we look at other cases which there are definitely more of.

for this manga, okaya's mother said abandoning him would be a failure of their duty as a parent which is ironic too considering she failed in that obligation as well by not guiding him and thus allowing to be a creepy psycho.
