I considered it, but looking over it and the chapters before it again, no, it really wasn’t that much weirder. This feels like a natural progression of weirdness from the chapters before it.

I mean, it mostly just struck me as odd that you, presumably a living human being with pattern recognition, didn’t recognise the obvious pattern leading up to this so much that you made it this far into the series just to ask what the hell was going on now.
