Yeah, this is a common occurrence in harem manga, as far as I've seen. A lot of harem protagonists tend to just be random, normal guys with girls falling for them with alarming frequency. It's one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of the harem genre. That and the fact that I know that, most of the time, all but one of the girls will lose and it makes me sad.

If someone ends up losing then you're not reading a harem manga, you're just reading a shit pseudo harem manga. Next time just read something like "extra academy survival guide" or "Webtoon character Na kam Lim"

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kanata-kun doesn't deserve any of this, man. He's just here being fairly normal dude and freaky girls are falling for him left and right.

While the love meters do trigger weird supernatural effects, it's not like they're what causes him to win these girls over, y'know?

In fact, it's more like a normally oblivious yandere harem protagonists is given a chance to become aware before the reveal at the end of a girl's route.
...And also the girls gained Stands.

It's not that deep, and I would agree with you for other pseudo harem manga's, but not here, this story doesn't really take itself that seriously
