This guy is high handed, but like, it's not bothering me as much as the stereotype usually does?? He doesn't think of the MC as a prey or something to conquer, just another person who he can manipulate with money. It's a bit of a lesser evil, especially when it makes me think of their relationship more as a boss and employee, instead of slave and master.

Also at all part he does *negotiation*. He didn't say "you have to do this, obey me" but "do this and I pay you, what's your choice?"
