Logic dictates Wu Kuang might also be heading to the Ancestral Domain as there would probably be more to eat there, as opposed to random star fields. Although we don't know what Wu Kuang actually knows. He might be familiar with the Ancestral Domain from tens of thousands of years ago and would thus know if he needs to go there or not. Yang Kai naturally would have no idea. Funnily enough right now Yang Kai actually seems to have pretty much forgotten Wu Kuang and he's more interested in finding his way back to his own star field. He would rather get there first and rescue his own family and friends than try to stop Wu Kuang immediately. Maybe Wu Kuang will destroy a few star fields in the meantime, but that's no skin off Yang Kai's back. Although that being said, what could Yang Kai even do to stop the Heaven Devouring Emperor? The other great emperors don't really care and Yang Kai doesn't have enough power.
