Why did the demons even arrange the big plot to get Yang Kai on their side, to fix the gates, if now it's just "let nature take its course"? So, in other words, the gates never mattered in the first place, Yang Kai never mattered in the first place. What mattered was to have the big battle between great emperors to crack the void, to open the corridor. The whole operation to get Yang Kai was just some comedy side show for the demon saints. Ru Meng must be the butt of all the other demon saints' jokes. Even though they were lining up to have Yang Kai fix the gates on their continents. Yet they don't really care about the gates.
