I recall some old beard saying that it's too risky to just fix and strenghten the array, leaving the ink clan member to linger in the Black Prison system. So, it's safer to break the array and kill the ink clan member. Was it that same brainiac who then didn't bring enough firepower to actually be able to fight the ink clan member?
