Eh, it's not like allies can't benefit. They can possibly benefit more than just random people who volunteered purely for their own momentary benefit. Allies are more likely to stick to it till the very end and not easily switch sides. Of course if an ally lets you down on purpose even once, the trust is lost forever, whereas if it was just someone random who signed in for the single deal, there wasn't that much trust in the first place, just business. This also means those random people only earn exactly what was agree on earlier, whereas allies can keep reaping more and more benefits if things turn out better than expected, also in the long run.
