What bold and decisive? That elder suspected till the very end Yang Kai submitted fake spirit arrays, despite being so impressed by them when he first saw them. I'm not talking about getting the alchemist to verify them, but his general attitude. He was still threatening Yang Kai while they were waiting for the alchemist. That fool of an elder has never gambled in his life and is anything but bold and decisive. But at least he has the wits to respect others who can be, even if he can't himself.
I really can't tell if I like him or I hate him. The way this author develops the personalities of his characters is strange. He often directly states their personalities, then contradicts himself with their actions... it's as if he completely forgets who they are every chapter...
