Remember she's shrewd. She's happy to be an accomplice because if he doesn't kill her, she has the means to pin him now since he killed the young master of some big manor which would bring him quite the trouble if anyone came to know.

this..the mc..hmm..it got dark pretty damn quick. i mean i know he's killing to defend himself but the way how he handle things is quite cold blooded. think back..this guy just got to the level of where he's at within a week. how the heck is so numb to killing so fast? when did he experienced this? not just that he's dealing with the people he killed in a way that would make him look like what a serial killer would do. for character development wise writer, don't make the mc such a cold hearted person when he just leveled up recently. there needs to be a build for his character to be this way. this is not okay as a story. either the writer sucks at piecing things together or they truly didn't realize the disjoint.

You got to remember what kind of world this is. The strong doing whatever it takes to get stronger is not only the norm, but it is also ENCOURAGED. You won't go far in cultivation if you aren't willing to take a few lives, especially with how vindictive these people are. Holding back against these people would've come back to bite him hard. They have different values.
