Im partially expecting the plot twist if you think about the events of the battle it could be infered that that battle was the one that caused the twin secret art and the dragon Phoenix secret art to be lost

Which can further imply that it's quite possible since his soul clone was still around perhaps his soul could manage to survive aswell even as just a fragment

I said it before, but anyone who meets the bone men should realise what a big and alien threat they are. There's no reason to try to cajole anyone to face them. The only risk would be those who don't want to participate but are instead planning to attack and exploit those weakened by the bone man war. This doesn't exclude those who'd seemingly participate but in reality avoid any real danger, to preserve their own strength, only to strike against their former allies once the common enemy is gone.
