Sure, he's doing this because he doesn't know any other method to wake her up (to save his own life).
But it's still a bit cruel thing to do.

Ethically speaking, is it actually that cruel to alter someones life and personality if it means that person gets to live another day happily? Yeah you may take everything that defined that persons life and identity, but I'd say that making sure the person becomes happy would be more important. In such a way, in my opinion, it's better to live a happy lie than a sad truth.

About that, and I'm just adding this out of philosophical (if that's the right word) curiosity. But if life and personality making events are removed or changed in a person's life/past, then is the resulting "them" truly the same one as the one modified? If that makes sense. Since if a person changes, are they really the same person they were before? Does the extent of those change matter? What really defines what/who a person is?

Hopefully my ramble-y thoughts don't seem too weird lol.

@Sphys that's actually quite interesting lloll it'll probably be something stuck in my head in the middle of the night, and from what I know, some memories and past does change people, so say if someone forget some of them it'll change some part of how they act ( like smoking/drinking a lot ) but from the separating twins project they're a lot of stuff that'll be the same regardless of how different they're life was, ..this is gonna get stuck in my head for awhile it seems lloll thanks?
