Yeah, but you gotta tick those boxes. And "MC saves a character who it turns out is super famous/popular/important" is a definite box. Only alternative would've been if she was a princess or something.

Yeah these slop manga always have the weirdest character designs. I can usually ignore gooner bait to a certain extent, but you can only go so far before the outfits are just impractical for an adventurer

The axe bandit has the crazy eyes, but the teeth bandit has normal eyes. This is a visual trope to indicate a person is unhinged.

Think the assumption is that because she is so strong she wasn't worried about such a low tier attack.

So much like how the older brother tanked the MC's sword strike, the S ranked Elf didn't need to actively defend against a B Ranked bandit.

OTOH MC being as sheltered as he is, unaware of the above, moves to selflessly defend the FMC like the clichéd protagonist he was written to be.
