What if goblin turn back into a dude and was hiding it because he still held feelings for tank, the only thing that I could see that changed after he switched was his eyelashes, so it might be cool

Unlikely; Goblin's entire wardrobe changed too as did the memories of everyone in the word besides Tank.

If Goblin turned back all the clothes would, we can assume, have gone back and the people would think of Goblin as male again.

As an aside, I wonder why they call themselves "Tank" and "Goblin" when we know their real names are Shuugo and Rin. Maybe gaming usernames? Since that doesnt seem like family names.

It's their nicknames! The story so far never really explained why they call themselves that, but I think it might be how they describe themselves.

Shuugo-san -> Tank-dono (Built like a tank, pretty much a tall well built person)

Rin-san -> Goblin-dono (Since most goblins are described as short creatures in fantasy stories / games.)

Their both members of the manga club which means they must have formed these nicknames from the books they've read!

Y-Yeah that's basically it.

Think "Tank" is more likely from the gaming class. The strong and dependable person who protects the rest of the party. That's shown to be his general personality.

I didn't mean it in a theory way but an interesting direction the author could take, but probably won't.

Probably like gaming nicknames which kind of cute;
Goblin is called goblin because he's a loot rat (goes after loot even if it gets ends with them dead).
Tank is called tank because he always plays as a tank character in games (excellent defense but average/mediocre dps).

This bit of playfulness is an unspoken ingredient for a nice, fun, and light-hearted dynamic with someone you really like.

Just saying. Seeing the girl you have the absolute hots towards be absolutely fucking clingy with you could give a confidence boost that will last for months.
