Something that extends the story or romance or atleast could've talked about the past when they were kids.

Let the author have their fun. There's no need to demand the author to spend all of their working hours on the same series. It's often even better for many creative jobs to take a break and do something different to refresh the ideas.

The story is done. It was dragged out, beaten like the dead horse it is, and then completely ruined in the final chapters.

Okay, I didn't actually expect a review bomb so I'd like to clarify that this series was released in 2017, well before the After School arc, so it's not like a money making move was attempted after the main story is done. Hopefully this'll clear up some confusion.
