Sorry to ask but who is this b!tch and did he appeared in the story ? Or maybe i should wait for the story to end before rereading it from the beginning :fml:
the scientist ? he the man who told ains about old tale regarding red fox when ains go to tower of wisdom city for uh i forgot but something important happened there and MC need to go there and met him
also the author already "foreshadowing" he has connection with the red fox but yeah everyone already saw it mill ago so the reason the comment section hate the last part of the chapter

Very frustrating to see a number of pages wasted on nothing. The mad scientist was already shown to be evil long ago. So just showing that he is evil is just a waste. At least show us his connection to the red fox. Or have the MC learn that he is to blame.

Actually we got a lot. He's probably a fox, and there's a whole tribe of them fucking things up

I gotta say, these mad scientist type enemies are approaching the "evil pope" trope of boring.
Id say they are worse, at least the evil pope trope can be executed to a somewhat decent standard. Have yet to encounter a scientist villain that wasnt trash, at least of the top of my head.

Can't arrive without saving someone at the last possible moment. It's too predictable to be dramatic.

Creepy licking is also one of the most overused characterisation moments.

Kind of a nothing chapter.
honestly a mangaka may as well literally have a hero jump a shark

I think the chief might have something to do with the Previous Demon Lord that the "first" king had to kill.

But I think everyone is forgetting something. During the Tower of Wisdom arc, when he was alone he said that he had killed the red fox, and was sort of implied that he killed his father too. Add to the mix the fact that he was the researcher following a women, it is likely that the women was the red fox, that means that killed her some time after he stayed behind doing research.
