he did infact absorb it but it was a bit late because she manage to curse him a bit since you see at the end when ain deliver the killing blow he show a bit of pity toward the red fox chieftain which she used to curse him later on but man ain awakened demon lord form is insane XD
(for the context the red fox chieftain original unique power is the power to evolve skill but because of her distortion of feeling it make the person she used it often goes berserk that they often lost themself this happened even more so if the said skill is already powerful like demon lord)

That's what im getting from this; Shannon is a/the Red Fox, giving her access to breaking the national contract, giving her access to the Defenses, access to the King, to everything.

All she needed to do was tell a few idiots what they wanted to hear, and she is dismantling everything that can keep her from power as quickly as possible.
