As this webtoon has an official release in English, on a non-paid site no less, it should probably be removed from here.

Easy Going Scans is a different translation group from Webtoon, and this version was done prior to the translation done by that group. The Webtoon translation is better than some others on the site, but I sometimes prefer reading Easy Going Scan's syntax as it suits the characters better having read from both groups during the course of this story's translation.

I also think the translation of Webtoon's team becomes better later on, so I usually end up switching between the two and the original Korean.

What a boring ending.
Now that his brother is gone he had all the time in the world to research how to undo the sleep spell (as well as having access to most powerful magician ever - True Iremi), yet he choose the easy way out of dying and hurting his loved ones in the process. And he did not even consider the possibility of his brother simply lying to him out of spite, and him killing himself would not undo the sleep curse - it would have been extremely funny if author have gone for that ending, where Ethermask kill himself and nothing is resolved.

I expected much more from the ending. I've been reading Magician for more than 10 years. What a disappointing way to finish this series.

My recomendation: don't even start this shit series, the author shits it all at the end:angery:. If not, never watch the epilogues.
My boy Enz was done the dirtiest:aquadrink:. What a fucking bitch is Iremy. Not only for rejecting Enz AFTER giving him hopes all the series, getting angry when he is with other girls, and misleading him in general to have him orbiting:facepalm:, but for NOT FUCKING HEALING HIS ARM when she is almost omnipotent and capable of more:notlikethis:. Shit, the author seems to just want to crap on Enz, even the little shit son of Ethermask kisses Iremy at the end, which my boy Enzu never even had the chance to:fml:

I would still recommend this series. Sort of a journey vs. destination thing, the story is quite interesting for the majority of it. I like the characters, the worldbuilding is deep (although it can be a bit of a drag), and the magic and swords and powers are cool. All the themes come up again and again. I thought the storytelling was well-structured, there's a constant stream of character building or lore throughout. Though,
I would agree the ending leaves much to be desired. There's characters who never completed their arc, themes left unaddressed, etc.

Just look at the four previous replies. Would that guy really have followed this series for more than 10 years if it wasn't good? Though we now have the advantage of not having to wait at all
, so it's a bit less disappointing at the end
. Would these other guys really be so mad about the endings if they didn't care so much about the characters? Most bad series get dropped part way through and we never bother to read to the end. Each of these people spent hours reading all 500+ chapters. Sure, many people dropped it and never bothered to leave comments here, but it goes to show that this manhwa is really good to some people, it's worth caring about.

The author is working on a different series now. I really hope they're just taking the time to develop the ideas for a "Magician 2" and they'll eventually bring all these characters back.

Thoughts about the ending
What a boring ending.
Now that his brother is gone he had all the time in the world to research how to undo the sleep spell (as well as having access to most powerful magician ever - True Iremi), yet he choose the easy way out of dying and hurting his loved ones in the process. And he did not even consider the possibility of his brother simply lying to him out of spite, and him killing himself would not undo the sleep curse - it would have been extremely funny if author have gone for that ending, where Ethermask kill himself and nothing is resolved.
I think the logic of the series is mostly consistent, and I don't think this would have been possible because
1. Iremy didn't completely break/merge the seal yet, so doesn't have access to the alternate personality with more powers even six years later after the flashback. Her other personality, was also uncontrollable at the time.
2. Ethermask searched for it for hundreds of years and never even found any leads. At the start of the series just after meeting Iremy and Enz he mentions starting over from scratch to the head guy at the Magic City library.
3. It kind of made sense from the beginning that they would be tied together. When I first saw the flashback where they were cursed by Armio with the immortality spell, I guessed that they were tied to each other. We saw an image of the complete symbol (dot in the arc with three dots on each side) earlier in the series, so the fact that Ethermask and Natasha each have half of the symbol while having comparatively opposite effects (eternal life vs. eternal un-life) indicates that Ethermask's immortality might be due to her sleeping forever.

The ending felt a little less disappointing to me because
Iremy never really had an arc or a lot of character development, so it kind of makes sense that she would still be stuck in her old ways, still child-like, still searching for Ethermask. That, or the author doesn't know how to write women. There's still potential for character exploration there, I hope, in a sequel.
