No no you don't want to purify her. You want to corrupt her further - which is why you use the wrong side of the brush.

Its not just stuff. He's being asked to pick up rope (which they use in their play for bondage) and a brush (which they use for spanking, and possibly the bristles for nipple play). For them, the shopping list basically "don't forget to pick up lube and condoms!"

🤷‍♂️ I haven't seen anything about it, and they've released other titles in the last couple of weeks. In my experience (granted, that is limited, I'm not a hard core otaku collecting 500 series...) scanlators usually announce dropping a series if they are still working on others, and asking for someone else to pick it up if it's a matter of not enough time or donations to keep doing it. On the other hand, some scanlators lose interest in a title, particularly if the author of a work takes it in a direction that makes the scanlator start asking "What the hell are you even doing with this now."

It is not uncommon for another scanlator to pick up a series though, because they have a different take on how the character comes across because of the translation choices. I have several titles that have two (or more) scanlators releasing chapters a short time apart.
