Gotta be honest, if my raison d'etre had been stolen away from me with such finality, I'd be thinking the exact same thing. If it's the author's intent to make us hate this dragon, mission accomplished. I can see why people might decide to go out of their way to slay dragons.

I would’ve taken my life as well if I lost the ability to do the things I love. Being forced to get married to a person you don’t know because you’re parents decided it with no say at all, is horrible. Imagine spending most of your years doing the thing you love only to be told that you have to marry someone you’ve never met and had been kept in the dark about said marriage for no reason. You fight back with all your might only to lose the ability to do the things you love and basically be given up without you consent.

You’re expected to give birth to children and forget about the things you dedicate your entire life to, simply because your father thought it was a good idea to go missing and fight a dragon and then essentially sold you off without money to a super old dragon guy. The mom didn’t care and only the brother was concerned about her and was the only one to care about what’d happen to her. Her parents both gave away their daughter without any care about what she’d want, and basically sold her off to gain more prestige than they already have. The weight of what she’ll go through will have an effect on her children as well, if the main couple’s relationship doesn’t improve.


If the ML’s personality doesn’t improve, I hope she finds someone better or runs away.

Her first mistake was to show up at all. Second mistake, show up in a wedding dress. Third mistake, duel a fucking dragon and bet on it. She should have just packed her things and left. Her dad is a piece of shit, her mother is trash, her brother is useless. Why the hell is it so hard to leave these characters to decide what they want on their own.

Yeah, back then, being forced in to such a thing, I can understand the wanting to take her own life. Thank f for modern age where there are laws against this, and in countries that don't have these laws, they need to ditch their bullshit tradition, heritage or whatever and get with the times.
